Shijiazhuang, Hebei, as a major transportation hub in North China, has seen an explosive growth in Electric Vehicle (EV) ownership. Consequently, the demand for roadside assistance due to battery depletion—especially on highways, urban expressways, and remote areas—has surged. Traditional towing services are not only costly and time-consuming but also contribute to traffic congestion.
To improve response times, a large chain rescue company in Shijiazhuang decided to implement an advanced V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) DC charging solution. This project involved the procurement of 15 units of 20 kW Portable V2V DC Chargers developed and manufactured by our company. With these devices, rescue vehicles can draw power directly from their own traction batteries to provide rapid DC charging to stranded EVs, achieving "charge-on-the-spot" and "ready-to-go" service.

The 20 kW units selected for this case were specifically engineered for high mobility and multi-vehicle compatibility:

This batch of V2V chargers features exceptional scalability and compatibility, supporting seamless conversion between multiple interface standards:
Considering the diverse environments of roadside rescue (rain, snow, salt spray, high dust, etc.), the units utilize rigorous industrial-grade protection:

The devices offer deep human-machine interaction. Through the 7-inch screen, operators can monitor the rescue vehicle’s remaining battery level and the charging status of the recipient vehicle. It features both automatic charging modes (intelligent matching) and manual settings for precise control.
Before delivery, all 15 units underwent high-intensity field simulation tests in our laboratory:
The units comply with national, industry, and corporate standards, featuring a refined industrial design that is both professional and durable. To protect the 40 kg precision instruments during long-distance transit, each unit is secured with thick anti-shock lining and reinforced with a heavy-duty "Wooden Box + Wooden Pallet" packaging system, ensuring structural integrity and safety throughout the transportation process.

The 15 units were delivered on schedule via a dedicated power equipment logistics line before Shijiazhuang’s peak rescue season. Each unit was accompanied by a comprehensive factory inspection report and bilingual operating manuals.

Thanks to the modular design and the 2 m standard cable, the rescue company’s technicians completed installation with simple wiring. The lightweight 40 kg design allows a single operator to handle and deploy the device easily. The intuitive operation and simplified workflow have received high praise from field rescue personnel.
